Make checks or money orders payable to the City of Aspen and include the ticket number and or license plate number on the check. Do not mail cash. Please mail check or money order to:

HOW TO DISPUTE A PARKING TICKET

All disputes must be done online. You cannot dispute any ticket that is over 10 days old, or for any of the following violations:

  • No Parking Anytime
  • Fire Zone
  • Parked Obstructing 
  • Double parked

These types of tickets can only be disputed in Municipal Court. If you would like to sign up for a court appearance you must appear in person at City Hall, 427 Rio Grande.

Decision Time

The average time to issue a decision on appeal tickets are approximately two weeks and fines will not escalate during the review period. Dispute results will be e-mailed to the address provided on the form. If you need an update on the status of your appeal, please call into the Parking Front Office.

PARKING VIOLATION FEES

  • Core Overtime: Progressive – $50 › $100 › $200 › Court date for subsequent violations
  • Overtime in timed zone: $50
  • No Valid Payment: $50
  • Illegal Parking: $75
  • Handicap Zone: $250

If you receive an orange envelope stating, our records indicate this vehicle has overdue parking tickets and is subject to immediate tow and impound,' you must pay all outstanding tickets within 72 hours, or you will be subject to a Tow (Fees: $260.00/Tow).

If you are Towed, you must pay all citations including the Tow Fee before your vehicle can be released (there are no exceptions).
