Environmental work is truly a team effort. Below are things you can do as a consumer and through daily choices to support a healthy planet.


Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Limit waste by recycling/composting and opting for reusable products like bags, bottles, and containers. Learn all about recycling and composting.

Conserve Water and Energy

Turn off lights when not in use, take shorter showers, and purchase energy-efficient appliances. Tips for water conservation. 

Maximize Home Energy Efficiency

Improvements like air sealing, additional insulation, or upgrading to energy-efficient windows will create a more comfortable living space and save money and energy. Need a new stove? Is your boiler or water heater up for replacement soon? One of the most impactful climate actions you can take is to choose efficient, electric equipment for your next upgrade. Use Green Transportation

Support the Second-Hand Economy

Support Local and Sustainable Products

Choose local, organic, and sustainably produced foods. Check out the Aspen Saturday Market June-October for local goods. Consider shopping at businesses that are working towards sustainability as Colorado Green Business Network of Aspen members
