2. Please use this form to inquire about utilizing City of Aspen Park(s) as a venue for your summer camp, day camp or child care program. A Park Use Permit allows for facilitation of these types of programming on public property, but does not ensure exclusive use of the park during your requested time(s) and date(s). 

   The City of Aspen reserves the right to approve or deny any park usage or rental inquiry. Considerations in decision making include other rentals, impact on parks and/or resources, capacity of parks and blackout dates due to events or holidays. 

   If approved, the City of Aspen will require the following actions prior to the first day of camp or child care usage:

   - A payment of $190 to the City of Aspen. (this payment includes a $90 recurring park use fee as well as a $100 annual day camp or child care usage fee.)

   - A Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Aspen 427 Rio Grande Place Aspen, CO 81611 as the policy holder. The coverage limits must include $2,000,000 general aggregate; $1,000,000 each occurrence.

   - Issuance of a Day Camp Permit indicating the time(s), date(s), location(s), activities, organization name and contact information. This permit must be on hand and displayed during programming and usage of City property including Parks and Trails. 

   *Fee payment, Certificate of Insurance and permit requirements are required on an annual, or calendar year, basis.

35. Parks Use General Conditions and Agreement*

    Please acknowledge these general conditions by checking each box. By checking these boxes, you state that you have read, understand and will abide by the outlined conditions. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in the revocation of permits and/or fees associated with damage to the property.

    1. Parking is not provided for summer camp, day camp or child care. All parking must be in designated available public parking spots and necessary parking fees are the responsibility of the applicant or organization.
    2. Park rentals may use no infrastructure other than four (4) 10x10 pop up tents maximum, tables and chairs. Bounc houses or similar activations are not permitted.
    3. Activities that generate large amounts of bubbles, confetti or other forms of micro trash or liquid waste are not permitted.
    4. Park benches and picnic tables cannot be used for arts and crafts.
    5. Crowds must be orderly. If complaints are received during an event, the Aspen Police Department may be asked to intervene and tickets may be issued.
    6. Amplified music or noise must be limited to small and/or portable wireless speakers.
    7. Areas must be cleaned and all trash removed immediately after the use. Trash receptacles must not be overfilled.
    8. No person shall use any public park for any business purposes or selling of goods or services for profit.
    9. There is no electricity provided in the parks. All power required or needed must be sourced from handheld generators.
    10. Applicant and any hired vendors will be responsible and charged for any and all damages done to the park during set up, during and after the rental.
    11. Camp usage at Herron Park and Rio Grande Park shall be limited to two hours or less per day.
    12. Picnic tables in any park cannot be occupied for more than two hours
    13. The City of Aspen cannot guarantee the condition of any on site portable restrooms. If additional restrooms are desired, they must be coordinated by the rental party.
    14. Applicant, attendees and any hired vendors working with the applicant will comply with all City of Aspen rules, regulations and ordinances without exception.
37. City of Aspen Release of Liability*

    I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Aspen, its officers and employees, from any loss, liability, damage or cost sustained by any person or property, to the extent any such loss, liability, damage or cost rises from any activity associated with the special event or use of City-owned equipment, supplies or property.
