City of Aspen to host ribbon cutting ceremony for Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail
Aspen, CO – The city of Aspen is excited to announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC) campus.
The Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail enhances outdoor recreation and promotes sustainable transportation options in the community. This trail has been designed to accommodate both cyclists and pedestrians, providing a safe and scenic route through the Maroon Creek corridor.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be a public celebration, and all community members are invited to join the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the new trail following the ceremony.
"We are thrilled to open the Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail and provide our community with a space that promotes both wellness and connectivity," said John Spiess, the city’s senior open space and natural resource manager.
The city encourages everyone to bring their bicycles and walking shoes to celebrate this new addition to Aspen’s trail infrastructure.
