Meet and Greet at the Wheeler Opera House for executive director position
Community invited to meet final candidates on July 10
ASPEN, CO—The city of Aspen and the Wheeler Opera House would like to invite the community to an upcoming meet and greet event on July 10. At this event, community members can meet the finalists for the Wheeler Opera House's executive director position.
The evening will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. with presentations from the candidates, who will share their stories, qualifications, and experiences. Following this, the Wheeler will host an informal meet and greet session, offering community members a chance to interact with the candidates.
The final candidates include:
- Christopher Anderson is an art professional with over 30 years of experience specializing in creating performances, arts and culture, management, strategic development, and communication. He is formerly the Artistic Director of the Alberta Ballet in Canada. His extensive education in art, ethics, inclusivity, and diversity complements his career. Anderson is committed to driving sustainable growth, providing inclusive leadership, and achieving measurable results.
- Michael Harrington has worked for 22 years in New York's art community. He is currently the President and Executive Director of Theatreworks USA, a New York-based company, and has served as Executive Director of NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts for 8 years. In these roles, he has exhibited leadership in strategic planning, relationship building, fundraising, and community engagement. Harrington's accomplishments include winning the 2014 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Unique Theatrical Experience.
- Robb Woulfe brings over 25 years of experience in arts and entertainment, including executive roles and expertise across visual, performing, and media arts. He has led cultural initiatives as the Executive Director of notable institutions such as the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History and president and CEO of Breckenridge Creative Arts, showcasing his artistic talent, financial management, operations, and institutional leadership skills. Woulfe's contributions were honored with the Colorado Governor’s Tourism Award in 2016.
Artists, musicians, and all those passionate about Aspen's vibrant arts scene are encouraged to attend this important event, which will shape the future direction of the Wheeler Opera House and the Aspen arts community.
