City of Aspen Announces 4th of July Parade Winners
Aspen, CO- The 2024 Fourth of July Parade, produced by the city of Aspen, was held in downtown Aspen on Thursday morning. Residents and visitors alike were present to witness this old-fashioned Independence Day tradition.
The parade offered a variety of entries, including floats from local businesses, community service organizations, nonprofits, and more. New this year, residents and visitors attending the parade could vote for their favorite parade floats.
The winners for this year in five categories were as follows:
- Crowd Favorite: Aviator Nation
- Most Patriotic: Valley Veterans
- Best Yeti Theme: Aspen Valley Hospital
- Kid-Friendly: Aspen Valley Friendship Circle & Chabad
- Wet N’ Wild: Elk Mountain Expeditions
"We're thrilled to host this cherished Fourth of July tradition again, and we're especially excited about the increased community involvement this year with the public voting,” said Wesy Armour-Cook, special events assistant manager. “A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers whose dedication makes this parade possible for the city of Aspen."
