Free Training for the Public on MAP ASPEN

Aspen, Colorado – April 10, 2018 – MAP ASPEN, the City of Aspen’s Open Data Site, provides public access to GIS information from the City of Aspen free of charge. Please join the GIS Program to discover how to navigate MAP ASPEN at the Pitkin County Library Meeting Room on April 12 and 19 from 12-1pm or 5-6:30pm. Pick one of the four trainings provided.
Features of MAP ASPEN that may be useful to the public include tools for viewing zoning and voting districts, obtaining 3D elevation models and topo, accessing ready to print maps of parks, trails and parking information, browsing and downloading current and historic aerial photos and so much more.
The MAP ASPEN Open Data Site, launched at the beginning of 2018, allows users to easily find, utilize and disseminate information as well as download this content. MAP ASPEN can be accesses through the GIS Program Page on the City of Aspen Website https://www.cityofaspen.com/gis or directly through the Map Aspen Open Data Site https://mapaspen-cityofaspen.opendata.arcgis.com/
