Aspen Golf Club Wins Three Awards from Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine

Aspen, Colorado – February 12, 2020 – The City of Aspen is pleased to announce the Aspen Golf Club has been recognized by the staff at Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine for three distinct honors: Best Apres- Golf Experience, Best to Walk, and Best Instructor for Women in recognition of Dede Cusimano. In addition, readers of the magazine awarded the Aspen Golf Club third place in the “Most Underrated Public Course” category.
“It’s an honor to be recognized among our peers with these awards,” said Director of Golf at the Aspen Golf Club, Steve Aitken. “It is distinctly special when those in the Colorado golf community who know all of the state’s courses, both public and private, select the one we have in Aspen as a favorite in three categories. Our entire team works hard every day to foster a beautiful, environmentally sensitive setting and to cultivate a winning experience for all. It’s nice to be recognized for this and a particular honor to see Dede Cusimano specifically named because of her skill and talent and hard work.”
Known as the CAGGY Awards, Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine polls the public and staff each year to determine the winners who are all listed in the 2020 spring issue.
The public is invited to help the Aspen Golf Club to celebrate this recognition, enjoy complimentary food and beverage, and try the golf simulator for free during a special open house March 2 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Club. In addition, new season golf passes will be available for purchase. Please RSVP to the open house to apr.golf@services.cityofaspen.com.
Pre-season golf pass pricing is available from March 1 – 31. Those purchasing an early season golf pass can add on a six-month recreation membership pass for $249 valid April through September. Starting April 1, golf passes will be full price. All passes are sold online at www.aspengolf.com.
