Income Tax Credit Available for Charitable Donations to Qualified Childcare Programs
Aspen, Colorado – December 3, 2019 – As individuals and businesses are thinking about year-end charitable donations, Kids First wants to make the community aware that financial donations to qualified child care providers allow donors to receive an income tax credit for 50% of the contribution up to $100,000, plus the possibility of additional state and federal deductions.
The Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit was established to encourage greater private support of Colorado child care programs and to reinforce that investing in early childhood education benefits communities by supporting parents to stay employed and supporting the future academic performance, stable employment, and increased home ownership* of children who receive early education.
