Community Celebration in Honor of Passage Bill to Fund Full-Day Kindergarten

Aspen, Colorado – May 8, 2019 – City of Aspen Kids First department is holding a celebration on Wednesday, May 8 at 4:30pm at Yellow Brick Park in honor of Governor Polis signing a bill which provides funding for full-day kindergarten effective for the 2019-2020 school year across Colorado. The passage of State Funding for Full Day Kindergarten bill will relieve parents across the state from paying fees in their school district for kindergarten students’ education, and relieve the cost shared by some districts.
The celebration will include a short address from Mayor Steve Skadron. Refreshments will be served. The event is child-friendly and the community is encouraged to attend.
