PRESS RELEASE
Grants for Cultural Vibrancy Youth Fellowship extended
Aspen, CO — The city of Aspen has extended the deadline for grant applications to the Cultural Vibrancy Youth Fellowship. The new deadline for young artist applicants is Dec. 5.
The Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship is designed to support local artists by providing both financial resources and opportunities to build meaningful connections within the artistic community. This fellowship aims to help artists advance their creative practices, grow their careers, and explore new, innovative ideas.
The program features two distinct cohorts: one for youth and one for adults. The youth cohort will have up to 10 participants, each eligible for up to $750. Youth applicants must be between 14-18 years old and either live within the Aspen Urban Growth Boundary or attend the Aspen School District.
In addition to financial support, fellowship recipients will engage in convenings led by experienced artists, offering a platform for collaboration, learning, and community building. The Red Brick Center for the Arts and Wheeler Opera House are partnering to provide a nurturing environment for emerging talent in Aspen.
The city encourages all community members to support and inspire young artists to apply. Whether they are painters, performers, writers, or musicians, the city looks forward to welcoming and celebrating the next generation of artistic talent in Aspen.
