Adult and youth artists can apply now through Nov. 21 for funding and support

Aspen, CO- The city of Aspen is pleased to announce applications for the Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship are now available for adult and youth artists. The Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship supports individual, local artists by providing funding along with a focus on fostering relationship building within the artistic community. Local artists can apply by Nov. 21.

The fellowship offers funding opportunities designed to support artists in their creative practice, furthering their careers, or pursuing innovative ideas. A total of 12 adult artists will be chosen to participate in the fellowship and can receive up to $4,000. Adult applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside or work within the Aspen Urban Growth Boundary for at least nine months a year.

The youth cohort will consist of 10 participants who can receive up to $750. Youth participants must be between 14-18 years old and either live within the Aspen Urban Growth Boundary or attend the Aspen School District.

“The Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship awards monetary grants to local artists and budding youth artists, encouraging exploration, innovation, and growth in their artistic endeavors,” said Red Brick Center for the Arts Director, Sarah Roy. “Additionally, the fellowship facilitates relationship building and creative exchange among the recipients. Our local artists are an integral part of the dynamic art scene in Aspen, and by supporting our local artists and youth artists, we are investing in a more vibrant, healthier, and connected community.”

The Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship is open to individual artists working in a wide spectrum of arts including performing, visual, film, literary, and new media.
