Herron Park Bathroom Installation will occur July 23, 2024
Aspen, CO – On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the Herron Park bathroom foundation and building will be delivered and placed with the assistance of a crane.
Installation impacts:
- Impacts to Herron Park and Rio Grande Trail: There will be notable disruptions throughout the day.
- The trailhead will be closed during crane operations.
- Large parts of the park, specifically the lawn area, will not be accessible.
- The playground and beach will remain open.
- No parking: Parking at Herron Park will not be available on July 23, 2024. Neale Avenue may be reduced to one lane.
- Alternate access: The park and trail can still be accessed from the stairs or riverside trail off Neale Avenue.
The city of Aspen appreciates the community's cooperation and understanding as crews work to improve Herron Park. These enhancements will significantly elevate the park experience for visitors.
