Striping to Begin in the Downtown Core
The city of Aspen striping project is underway, focusing on enhancing parking and ADA spaces, and bike and pedestrian lanes in the commercial core. Roadway striping is crucial for maintaining safety, optimizing parking allocation, and providing clear directional information for all road users.
The project will begin in the downtown core on April 18, 2024. Parking in select blocks will be temporarily closed during striping and drying. Weather permitting, initial work will focus on the downtown core. After that work is complete, striping will extend to areas around the Red Brick Center for the Arts and the Aspen Recreation Center.
Certain blocks of parking in the core will be temporarily unavailable during the striping and drying process. No detours are planned, but please exercise caution around work zones.
