Press Release

City of Aspen Requests Photo Thank You Messages to Essential Workers
The Aspen Gratitude Campaign facilitates community’s expression of appreciation

Contact: Mitzi Rapkin, Communications Manager, 970-319-2791 or Mitzi.rapkin@cityofaspen.com

ASPEN, CO. – May 5, 2020 – The City of Aspen is facilitating a local digital thank you campaign to all our essential workers who have been working so hard to keep our community running.  So many workers have contributed to our most basic needs during the COVID-19 health incident.  The Aspen Gratitude campaign is for the entire community.  The final product will be a video with every contributor acknowledging whomever they would like to thank.

How it works:

Please take a photo of yourself with a sign that says some form of:

Thank you/I am grateful for
(fill in the blank with your choice)

Add these hashtags to your sign:
#AspenGratitude
#AspenTogether

Please use a thick marker or type your sign so it is easy to read.  Please take your photo in the horizontal position and email your photo to: aspengratitude@cityofaspen.com. The deadline to get your photo in to us is Wednesday, May 13 at noon.  Any questions about the project can be directed to that same email address.

Watch a video about the project and how to submit on our homepage or on this link

The City of Aspen looks forward to receiving your photos and creating a beautiful digital flipbook which will be shared on our social media platforms and website, and available for everyone to download and share.

If you are feeling as grateful as we are for the workers providing our medical care, groceries, transportation, package delivery, hardware, mail, transportation, emergency aid, public services, and many other basic needs daily and want to show your appreciation, we invite you to participate in our Aspen Gratitude campaign!
