KIDS FIRST PLACES BLUE PINWHEELS AROUND ASPEN FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
Aspen, Colorado – April 4, 2019 – The City of Aspen’s Kids First Department is working with the state of Colorado to support National Child Abuse Prevention Month and raise awareness around Aspen. Kids First has placed blue pinwheels for prevention in front of City Hall, the Aspen Police Department, the Yellow Brick building, the Red Brick Building, and the ARC as a reminder that everyone can play a role in preventing child abuse and neglect from happening. Pinwheels are an uplifting reminder of childhood and the bright future children deserve. Kids First supports parents with programs such as: childcare financial aid, Parenting Counts workshops, and quality improvement support in local licensed childcare programs. If you are concerned about a child’s safety and welfare, contact the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline: 1-844-CO-4-KIDS.
