Public charging infrastructure is essential for those that don’t have access to at-home charging or are commuting to or passing through Aspen. The 2017 Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan (PDF) is the first planning document that guides our staff to prepare the community for additional electric vehicles. In 2021, Council approved the Electric Vehicle Public Charging Infrastructure Masterplan (PDF) which establishes our goal of having a total of 40 publicly available charging plugs, plus or minus 5 plugs by the end of 2026.
Our Electric Vehicle EV Parking & Charging page has a map of the publicly available EV chargers in Aspen.
You can also use PlugShare to find chargers in the area.
The Parking Department handles EV parking policies.
