Board Composition, Terms, and Qualifications
The Wheeler Advisory Board is a volunteer board consisting of seven regular members and one alternate member. Members are appointed by City Council, each to three year terms. There are no residency requirements for membership, nor shall candidates for appointment be required to be qualified electors. The Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS) also appoints a permanent, non-voting, ex-officio member.

Overview
The Wheeler Advisory Board is empowered to advise the City of Aspen with the planning and policy related to the daily and long-term operations of the Wheeler Opera House. In this role, the Wheeler Advisory Board recommends scheduling policy, priority and rates for the theatre operations and operating policy and rental rates for the commercial space in the Wheeler Opera House building (restaurant and gallery space).
