City of Aspen invites community to grand opening of the new Wagner Park playground

Aspen, CO — The city of Aspen invites families, residents, and visitors to celebrate the grand opening of the new Wagner Park playground on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This community event marks the official debut of the newly constructed playground in downtown Aspen. Families are encouraged to come out and play on the brand-new equipment, explore the improved play area, and enjoy free treats provided during the celebration.

“The Wagner Park playground has always been a beloved spot for families,” said Michael Tunte, landscape architect and construction manager. “We’re excited to unveil a space that encourages creativity, movement, and connection for kids of all ages.”

The new playground design focuses on safety, accessibility, and fun. It features modern play structures, nature-inspired elements, and inclusive amenities for children of all abilities.

Everyone is welcome to stop by, play, and join in the celebration as Aspen’s newest playground opens to the public.
