City of Aspen begins asphalt milling and paving to maintain streets
Aspen, CO – The city of Aspen will begin asphalt milling and paving work on Monday, Sept. 15, as part of its annual street maintenance program. The first location will be South Garmisch Street, with work continuing at several sites throughout downtown in the following weeks.
This effort is designed to extend the life of city streets, improve driving conditions, and maintain the quality of public infrastructure.
During construction, residents may experience temporary impacts to residential parking in certain areas. To minimize disruptions, the city and its contractors will use rolling detours, ensuring traffic flow and access are maintained at all times.
