CITY TO HOST MEET & GREET FOR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR CANDIDATES
Opportunity for the community to meet and interact with the finalists
Aspen, Colorado (November 26, 2019) – The City of Aspen invites community members to attend a meet-and-greet to learn more about the finalists for the Community Development Director position. The City will release the names of the candidates before the event, which will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 5:45 - 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Community Room (540 E Main St, 2nd Floor).
During the event, candidates will introduce themselves and interact informally with attendees. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to each of the finalists and provide the City with their feedback.
The Community Development Director is responsible for administering Aspen’s land use and building codes as well as advocating for sustainable redevelopment in the community. The Director advises City leadership and provides policy guidance and recommendations regarding planning and land use issues and oversees the Community Development and the Environmental Health and Sustainability departments.
