Community Development Walk-In Updates

Beginning Monday October 15, the Community Development Department will have updated walk-in hours. This will enable our staff to complete work on permits and land use applications that are currently in our queue. Our business hours continue to be 8:00am-4:30pm M-F for permit pick-ups, scheduled appointments, etc.

For questions or inquiries without an appointment, we will be available for walk-ins 8:30am-1pm. (POD hours will remain 8:30am-12:00pm.) We are always available on our phone and email lines, and make every effort to respond within 1 business day:

Castle Creek Bridge / Hallam Street Project Update

Detour routes are anticipated to change on Monday, October 15 with the opening of the 7th and Main Intersection.
Unfavorable weather has affected critical path construction activities and schedule.
The Power Plant detour will be in effect overnight on October 16.

Community Forest Management Plan Open Houses - October 17th

The City of Aspen Forestry Department has just completed an updated of the Community Forest Management Plan. The public is invited to learn about the plan and ask questions at the open house.

Wednesday, October 17th from 3:30-7:30pm in Connor Park.

The ten-year Community Forest Management Plan is a guiding document for the core forestry operations undertaken by the City of Aspen.
