Traffic Change - Castle Creek Bridge / Hallam Street Improvement Project

From April 6^th at 7 AM until May 6^th a new traffic pattern will be implemented for the Castle Creek Bridge / Hallam Street Improvement Project. Please see detour map above.  This configuration will be day, night and weekend.

Outbound traffic will turn on North 5^th St. then turn left on West Hallam and head out of town on the Castle Creek Bridge. Inbound traffic will stay on Castle Creek Bridge and continue on Hallam Street (no s-curve) and turn right on 6^th Street then get back left onto Main Street.  Follow the barrels and signage through the work site. Please drive safely through the detour and be aware of emergency vehicles.

Minor Land Use Code Changes Approved

On Monday March 26^th City Council approved three minor amendments to the Land Use Code.  The amendments to the Non-Conformities and Variances sections of the Code changed the time-frames required for compliance with the code.  Both amendments also now require submission rather than issuance of a building permit in order to comply with the code requirements.  The third amendment to the View Planes section fixed errors in the legal descriptions of the view planes.  For more information about these approved code amendments, please contact Ben Anderson, Planner, at 970.429.2765 or ben.anderson@cityofaspen.com
