Reminder - Payments for Permits should be paid Online or Mailed in!

We want to send you a reminder.  While the Community Development Department Office remains closed to the public, we prefer that you pay for permits by doing the following:

  • Pay Online through your Salesforce Account.
  • Mail in your check to the Community Development Department (130 S. Galena St. Aspen, CO 81611) and include the permit number and property address on your check.
  • Call our Administrative Staff at 970-920-5090 to pay over the phone.

We’re having a lot of issues with checks being dropped off at City Hall with no information.  All checks should include some information about what they are for.  And if you’re paying for a permit, you must include the permit number and property address on your check.  If you do not include this information, your check may not get delivered to the Community Development Department and the processing of your permit will be delayed!

Thank you for helping us serve you more efficiently.

NEW LOCATION FOR YOUR DRAFT PERMITS IN SALESFORCE

New Tab for Draft Applications

Starting next week, you will see a new tab when you sign into Salesforce.  In the green ribbon, you’ll find ‘Draft Applications.’  We’re moving all of your drafts into this tab and you will need to access them by clicking on that tab.  Also, we recognize that many of you have a lot of drafts that you do not plan to pursue, and they are cluttering up your permit list.  To help clean this up, we are configuring Salesforce so that it will automatically delete any draft that you have not worked on for 60 days.  When you do anything on your draft application, Salesforce updates the Last Activity Date.  This is what Salesforce will be looking for to determine if the draft should be deleted.  If you don’t have any activity on a permit in 60 days but still want to keep it, please contact buildingadmins@cityofaspen.com and they can update the last activity date for you.

Virtual Town Hall Meeting
COVID-19 Winter Planning

The City of Aspen and ACRA invite the community to an open online discussion of how COVID-19 recovery policies went this summer and what creative ideas and policies you’d like to see supported this winter. Your feedback will be collected and presented to Aspen City Council on October 12.

The Aspen Community Voice page has a pre-meeting survey that we are asking you to fill out as soon as possible because your answers will guide the content for the Town Hall Meetings and further discussion topics on the project page.  You can fill out the survey here and register to attend the meeting that best suits your interest.
