Spring and Cooper Project Update
Intersection closure anticipated through May

The City of Aspen is extending the closure of the intersection of Spring Street and Cooper Avenue for approximately three weeks due to weather delays and unforeseen issues due to snowmelt under the sidewalk. The City anticipates that crews will still complete construction before Memorial Day.

Starting Thursday, May 5, the intersection will be closed to most vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. Traffic will be detoured around the intersection, and buses will be rerouted accordingly. Southbound Spring Street will remain open for the first half of the extended closure to accommodate inbound bus traffic.
