City of Aspen prepares for Smuggler Bridge assessment
Aspen, CO - The city of Aspen will conduct geotechnical testing on Monday, Aug. 25, and Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Smuggler Bridge, located on Power Plant Road. Work is scheduled outside of peak traffic hours to minimize impacts. Drivers should expect single-lane, alternating traffic during this time.
A follow-up bridge inspection is also planned for early September, with no traffic delays expected.
The city of Aspen appreciates the public’s patience as crews work to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of Smuggler Bridge.
